St. Mary's Food Kitchen was founded on February 8,1982. We were originally located at St. Mary's Church in the heart of Kansas City, Kansas. In 1997 we became a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization, Hot Lunch Service, Inc. dba St. Mary's Food Kitchen; operating as an independent corporation. At that time we moved locations to 645 Nebraska Avenue. Over thirty faith-based volunteer groups and several companies provide and serve meals everyday of the year to those in need.
